Indian Orthopaedic Association has a very long history, of having served the members by number of excellent activities, for the upliftment of the profession and its members. Organizing fellowships is one of the important activities. Many senior members have worked hard, to get them sponsored, by well wishers of the Association with a view to attain excellence in their chosen field. Members are requested to take advantage of these fellowships.

Indian Orthopaedic Association offers these fellowships to its members to help them visit various centres, attain training and attend conferences in India and Abroad.

Foreign Fellowship 2009

IOA- AOA Exchange fellowship: Applications are invited for a new fellowship which is expected to be of 3 weeks duration. It will include attendance during the annual conference of Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA) in October 2009 and travel to one or two centres. The last date of application is 30th of April this year (i.e. 2009). The to and fro airfare will be paid by the Indian Orthopaedic Association and the local hospitality and arrangements in Australia will be funded by the Australian Orthopaedic Association. The format of application is the same as other foreign fellowships of IOA and it is available on the website and IOA newsletter. Since this is a new fellowship the Foreign Fellowship Committee of IOA reserves the right to modify/change the conditions of the fellowship in the overall interest of the Association.

IOA - IOSUK Junior Fellowship : Selected Member is entailed to attend Summer Meeting of IOSUK in June 2009 at UK and 2 weeks at UK. IOA will provide Rs. 50,000 for travel expenses and IOSUK will provide local hospitality. The age limit is <45 years and should be a life member of IOA.
